【Abstract】 Using the rabbit skin test as the control meliod,the in vitro vero cell assay method and the indirect hemagglutination test (IHA) were used to determine diphtheria antitoxin of 92 freshmen. The antitoxin titres obtained by IHA was compared with those determined by the rabbit skin test,the results confirmed a high correlation between Vero cell assay and rabbit skin test (r=0.93),the sensitivity of Vero cell assay was 98.11%,the accuracy was 96.20%,and the reproducibility was 92.39%. It is concluded that the Vero cell assay method is a highly recommended procedure for diphtheria antitoxin determination.更多还原
