【Abstract】 Through observation and analysis on the skin tissue of fluoride poisoned silkworms by means of optical microscope, scanning electron microscope and x-ray, a clear understanding was achieved on the formation mechanism of blackish brown speck after the silkworms were poisoned by fluoride. We considered that the fluoride leads to the necrosis of blood corpuscle and dermal cell and then deposits in cuticula, resulting in the formation of blackish brown grain and ultimately forms blackish brown speck.
