【Abstract】 A thorough study has been made as to the cotent and form of the volleyball theoretical teaching as an elective course in none-physical education departments of higher normal colleges and universities by means of adopting a variety of research approaches, the result of which further proves that the content and form of the volleyball theoretical teaching as an elective course in higher normal colleges and universities must be improved. And the author puts forward a synthetical mode of the theoretical teaching, combining ″Teaching in the cllassroom Watching the video tapes in the audio-visual education room with the aid of the explanation given by the teacher, Explaining the theoretical knowledge in the course of the techniques course on the volleyball court″together.
