【Abstract】 he state of aggregation of the ionic bonds in IPN was investigated by Far-Infrared spectra and X-ray scattering. A far-infrared band, due to the vibration of a higher-order cluster, was found at 145cm-1 for IPN neutralized completely by Zn2+ salt. This band, which was observed in addition to the known cation-motion bands, was assinged to the vibrations of aggregates involving many cations and anionic sites close together. X-ray results revealed a low-angle x-ray peak corresponding to the clusters. The modified Bragg spacing was 2.39nm. It was interpreted as a result of short range ordering of multiplets around ionic clusters.
