【Abstract】 In this paper, we gave a brief survey of the progresses of nonmonotonic logics from 1980 to 1995. The theoretical nature, the major difficulties and the applications prospects of nonmonotonic logics is analyzed. The authors argued that (1) the theoretical nature of nonmonotonic logics is the combination of deductive reasoning and a certain sort of priority order; (2) the major difficulty that most nonmonotonic logics encounter is the efficiency of implementation; (3) there is no much reason to be optimistic on the development and applications prospect of nonmonotonic logics.更多还原
