利用地震波参数变化预测后续强余震
PREDICTING LATE ARRIVAL STRONG AFTERSHOCKS BY PARAMETER VARIATIONS OF SEISMIC WAVES
【摘要】 分析了发生在新疆、甘肃、青海和宁夏地区的部分中强地震的多种地震波参数(P波初动符号、初动半周期、振幅比、尾波持续时间比、尾波衰减系数a值和品质因子Q值)在主震后一个月内的变化情况.结果表明,强余震发生之前,余震序列的地展波参数有较明显的变化。利用这种变化,可以预报后续强余震的发生。
【Abstract】 In this paper, the variations of multiseismic parameters (first motion mark,half-period of P wave, rate of amplitude, rate of coda duration, value of coda attenuation coefficient and value for parts of moderate strong earthquakes occurred in Xinjiang, Gansu, Qinghai and Ningxia within one month after occurrence of main earthquakes had been studied. The results show that seismic wave parameters of aftershock sequence varied obviously before strong aftershocks,making the use of this kind of variation to predict late arrival strong aftershocks becomes available.
