【Abstract】 There are great gynecological achievements in the Song Dynasty, featuring the establishment of a discipline on obstetrics with an obstetrical professor which is specialized for the training of students in gynecology and obstetrics and pushes forward the development of these departments;the appearance of obstetricians and gynecologists as well as relevant monographs;accomplishment of basic theories, and technical know-how on diagnosis and therapy.
