Al2O3-SiCw复合陶瓷的显微结构与增韧机理

【摘要】 用扫描和透射电镜研究了Al2O3-24.8%SiCw复合陶瓷材料的成分与显微组织结构。结果表明,颗粒状的Al2O3和SiC晶须两种结构相互穿插,各相结合致密,晶须取向随机分布,其结构为15R型,基体为六方晶型的α-Al2O3。某些晶须内部存有位错、孪晶或层错亚结构。该陶瓷的维氏硬度值为2402HV,断裂韧性KIC为7.89MPa·m1/2。材料的良好韧性主要是晶须拔出和裂纹偏转效应共同作用的结果。

【Abstract】 The compositions, morphologies and microstructures of the Al2O3-SiCw composite ceramic were studied with SEM and TEM. The results show that the structure-morphology of the ceramic materials is framework-structure,the granular Al2O3 and wiskery SiC inlay each other and their combination is compact. The orientation of whiskers is stochastic distribution and its structure is 15R type.The matrix is hexagonal structure α-Al2O3. It was observed that there are dislocations,twins and stucking faults in the whiskers. The measurement of hardness shows that the Vicker hardness is 24. 02GPa.The fracture toughness KIC calculated is 7. 89 MPa·m1/2. The morphology of crack propagation indicate that there is the mechanism of whisker’ s pull out and crack deflection;and this mechanism increases the composite ceramic ductility.
