【Abstract】 Presently, the genus Dolichonobia comprises only two species: D. prolata Meyer and D. faceta Meyer. No species of this genus has been recorded from China. In the paper a new species is described and illustrated.Dolichonobia altaiensis sp. nov. (figs. 1—10)As in D. faceta Meyer propodosoma without a prominent projection-only a smsll short and narrow elevation; sacrales and clunales are lanceolate. However, the setation of the legs and the stylophore are different, the stytophore of the new species is deeply incised anteriorly.Holotype ♀, 7. Ⅶ. 1988, on Achnatherum splendens, from Aletay (47°52’N, 88°11’E), Xinjiang, China, collected by Tan Rui-cheng. Paratypes 10♀♀ same data as for holotype.
