【Abstract】 This paper presents the wear form of an Al₂O₃ ceramic cutter, the wearability, the change of its edge shape and its influence on the cutting mechanism in cutting hardened steel GCr15. A new viewpoint, self-sharpening of the cutter, is proposed. The relationship between the cutter wear and breaking, and the criterion of the cutter life are also studied.更多还原
