红粘土力学强度特征的形成及分析

【摘要】 本文根据红粘土三轴剪切试验成果,论述其抗剪强度的基本特征及其影响因素。研究认为:(1)红粘土具有脆性和塑性破坏两种形式;(2)破坏点的选择不同于其它粘土;(3)有效应力原理对红粘土应用具有局限性;(4)红粘土具有两个不同层次的孔隙,因而其渗透性极差;(5)在一定应力范围内,红粘土的抗剪性是良好的,结构连接对其有较大影响。

【Abstract】 Red clay has its typical characteristics which differ widely from that of other general clay. Based on the analysis of the processes and results of three-dimensional shear tests, this paper expounds the essential characteristics of shearing strength of Red Clay, explains their environmental factors, and gives the following summary: (1) Red Clay can appear both brittle and plastic failure; (2) there are different kinds of choice of the breaking point; (3) the Effective Stress Principle can not be applied to Red Clay very well; (4) because the pore of Red Clay has two different grades, its permeability is very poor. In order to research to what degree the structure joint influence the shearing strength of Red Clay, parallel research of shearing features of original and disturbed Red Clay has been done simultaneously. The result shows that within a certain extent of stress, the shearing strength of Red Clay is great.
