【Abstract】 The steelmaking characteristics and the quality of bearing steel production by 50tHPEF-60t VAD-IC process have been investigated. Results show that steel produced by the process has features of high cleanliness, evenly dispersed inclusions and low oxygen content with an average level of 10.40ppm. In addition, the shape of inclusions has been improved and globular oxide inclusion has been eliminated. Fatigue life tests reveale that the life the steel from such process is three times as much as that of the normal EF products.更多还原
