【Abstract】 The pharmacological effects of aqueous extract from cell simple culture of Panax ginseng （CSG） were compared with those of aqueous extract from ginseng root （GR） in mice. Both the extracts iv at the dose of their 1/3 LD₅₀ or ig 18g/kg, markedy potentiated the effect of sodium pentobarbital and prolonged the sleeping time induced by sodium thiopental. The two extracts also significantly prolonged the swimming time, decreased the oxygen consumption, and prolonged the survival time to anoxia. It is suggested that CSG is similar to GR in pharmacological activities.更多还原
