【Abstract】 In this paper,we reported the results of study of provention and treatmentof endemic goiter with iodized brick tea at Baiding township in the suburbs ofLhasa.The results indicated that the prevalence of endemic goiter in the popula-tion was decreased from 25.6% to 13.4%,one year after the iodized brick teaused in that area.Urinary iodine excreation,thyroid ¹³¹I uptake rate at 24hand serum TSH and T₄ levels returned to normal ranges.So we think that theiodized brick tea is a feasible and effective measures for IDD control in Tibet.更多还原
