【摘要】 <正> 本文报导螳螂亚科1新种,属于广腹螳螂属Hierodula的菱背螳螂亚属Rhombodera。该亚属由Burmeister于1838年建立,至今全世界已知32种,多分布于印度尼西亚、印度、新加坡、菲律宾、斯里兰卡、新几内亚、以及所罗门群岛等地。据Giglio-Tos(1927)报导,我国有2种,其中H.(R.)javana Giglio—Tos分布于印度尼西亚和中国,H.(R.)valida(Burm.)分布于马来半岛、婆罗洲、中国、印度尼西亚,但Tinkham(1937)在“中国螳螂科的研究”一文中未列入前一种。今从云南采得该亚属的标本1头,经鉴定系一新种。模式标本保存于南京林业大学昆虫标本室。更多还原

【Abstract】 Hierodula (Rhombodera) latipronotum Zhang, sp. nov.This new species is similar to H.(R.) valida (Burm.), but differs from the latter by the following characters: Length of pronotum as good as its breadth, breadth of pronotum twice as broad as head, anterior coxae with 8 or 9 spines. Length: body 70 mm, pronotum 22 mm, metazona 16 mm, legmen 60 mm. Width: pronotum 20 mm, head 9.5 mm.Holotype (?) : Jinghong County, Yunnan Province, Ⅳ-1984, coll. Zhou Wenbao.
