【Abstract】 Three cases of chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML) with unusual Ph chromosome were reported. Chromosome studies were done on direct bone marrow samples. Karyotypic analyses with R- and Gbanding revealed a masked Ph chromosome resulting from a translocation t (2; 9; 22》 (p23; q34; q11) in case 1 who was in chronic phase; a simple variant translocation t(11; 22) (p15; q11) in case 2 who was in blast transformation; a complex translocation t(3; 14; 22) (p21; q32; q11) in case 3 who transformed from acute lymphoblastic leukemia into CML. The ban ding pattern of two chromosomes No. 9 were normal on two latter cases.We consider that all patients who are thought to have CML but have no Ph chromosome noted in preparations stained with Giemsa should be routinely stuied with banding techniques so as to differentiate Ph positive CML from Ph negative CML.更多还原
