【Abstract】 An expeaimental atherosclerotic plaque model in rabbits was induced and the regressive effect Of Pollen Typhae on it was observed, The results showed that in the animals fed only with ordinary diet to substitute for high fat diet, regression of atherosclerotic plaque was very difficult. When Pollen Typhae, a traditional Chinese herb medicine was added to the ordinary diet, the concentration of serum cholesterol dropped rapidly, the content of cholesterol in aortic intima decreased, and the atherosclerotic lesions were considerably less severe.
