【Abstract】 160 pieces of auricular perichondrium from 40 rabbits were autografted. Half of them were implanted subcutaneously and the rest on the surface of musculus spinalis dorsi. At intervals of 2,4,6 and 12 weeks after operation, grafted tissues were removed for gross an microscopic examinations. The overall results showed that cartilage was formed in 67/160 pieces (41.9%)of the grafted perichondrium in 33/40 rabbits(82.5%). In consideration of the fact that mesenchymal cells were in differentiation stage during the first 2 weeks, the re- sults observed between 4-12 were more appropriate which showed cartilage was formed in 65/128 pieces (50.8%). This experiment showed that (1) not every piece of ear perichon- drium formed cartilage after transplantation. (2) transplanting to muscle surface did not offer a better chance for cartilage formation than that to the subcutaneous site. (3) elas- tic cartilage was formed homogenous to that of rabbit’s ear. The author has found hya- line cartilage formation in one patient who received rib perichondrium grafting for recons- truction of ear defect.更多还原
