【Abstract】 Ten patients with malignant pleural effusions due to advanced lung cancer were treated by intrapleural adoptivc transfer of autologous LAK cells induced from lymPhocytes of malignant effusions in the presence of rIL-2 and by administration of rIL-2 10 days before and after the transfer of LAK cells. The plueral effusions were disappeared in 8 cases and significantly decreased in other 2 patients. The number of tumor cells in the pleural effusions was significantly decreased and significantly increased for lymphocytes in the pleural effusions. No any changes of pleural effusions were found in 4 responders during more than 4 months period of following-up after this treatment. No any serious side effect was encountered in all of the 10 patients. The results indicated that transfer of LAK cells combinated with rIL-2 in the treatment of patients with malignant pleural effusions due to advanced lung cancer was effective, safe and feasible.更多还原
