【Abstract】 The shortage of animal protein baits is one of the reasons for the low production of the catfish. It is shown in the experiment that earthworm and wormcast can be used as its excellent animal protein bait material. Using earthworm and wormcast to feed the catfish cannot only provide various kinds of necessary amino-acids,vitamins and trace elements,but also accelerate the useful planktons to grow in the pond, and change the quality of the water for the better.
