【Abstract】 Atmospheric particulate matter in winter in Guangzhou region was analyzed by proton induced X ray emission (PIXE) analytical method, The following elements and its content were detected: Al, Si, P, S. Cl. K, Ca, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Cu, Zn. Sr and Pb. The enrichmment factors have been estimated in respect of major elements and compared with other experimental data. Furthermore, the linear correlation coofficients of some elements have been evaluated.
