【Abstract】 In this study,the protectiveeffect of CoQ10 on isoproterenol in-duced myocardial injury in rats wasstudied chronologically by the his-topathological and histochemicalmethods.The enzymic activities ofmyocardium in early stages were qu-antitatively measured with a record-ing microdensitometer.It was shown that the area of myo-cardial necrosis was reduced by65.5% (p<0.001) and the loss fra-ctions of activity of myocardial suc-cinic dehydrogenase,eytochromeoxidase and ATPase were decreasedby 48.6% (p<0.001),54.3% (p<0.001) and 56.6% (p<0.001)respec-tively by pretreatment with CoQ10.It was indicated that coenzymeQ10had a significant prophylactic effecton isoproterenol-induced myocardialinjury in rats,and it was believedthat coenzyme Q10 relieved the seve-rity of myocardial injury probablyby its protective effect on mitochon-drial enzymes.更多还原
