【Abstract】 In this paper, the principle and technique of modelling the non-zero offset VSP with arbitrary boundries by asymptotical ray-tracing was examined. Examples with relation to the modelling of tilted strata, the faults, the thinning outs, the curved subsurfaces, lenses, etc., were presented and the VSP responses to each model were described.
