【Abstract】 While turning medium carbon steel workpiece using magnetized HSS turning tools,the phenomena of improving remarkably the tool life under given conditions are analyzed.Some inherent laws are obtained.At the same time,experiments are performed to in- vestigate the effects of speed,feed,depth of cut and flank wear on the tool life by the second-order orthogonal composite design.
