关于某些类型地震带的正交性

【摘要】 本文研究华北地区的地震图象和地震迁移,范围为30°—42°N,105°—125°E。根据流变学的基本观点提出该区域内地震分布在正交网络内,大震预计发生在网络的节点部位。这一设想为该地区的震中分布所证实。将破裂方向和主应力方向与断层面解对比,它们的一致性进一步证实了这一设想。据此,本文提出预报未来可能发生地震震中位置。

【Abstract】 The present paper describes a continuation of the study of earthquake pattern and migration in Northern China which is now extended to a larger region covering the area from 30°to 42°N latitude and 105°to 125°longitude. From basic rhcological considerations it is suggested that the earthquakes in this extended region will be arranged in an orthogonal curvilnear network, whereas large earthquakes can be expected to occur mainly in the nodal regions of this grid. This idea is satisfactorily justified by the epicenters distribution in this region; a further justification has been found by checking the directions of fracture planes and also the main stresses obtained from our hypot (?)esis with the corresponding fault plane solutions: they must coincide satisfactorily. An idea for the prediction of the sites of future earthquakes is suggested.
