中小型稀土镁球铁钢锭模的性能及使用寿命分析

【摘要】 本文介绍了三年来采用稀土镁球铁材质制造中、小型钢锭模的生产试制和使用情况。报导了此种钢锭模的主要性能(常温与高温机械性能、抗氧化与热疲劳性能、临界相变点与热膨胀系数等)和表示出机械性能与化学成分间相互关系的回归方程。此外,对钢锭模的损坏机理作了探讨。 生产结果表明,试制的钢锭模寿命比普通灰铸铁增加了一倍,从而证实了稀土镁球铁是一种适用于制造中、小型钢锭模的优良材料。

【Abstract】 This article describes the conditions of production and application of middle and small-sized RE-Mg ductile iron ingot mold during the last three years, and gives main properties of these ingot molds (mechanic properties at room and high temperatures, resistance to oxidation and thermal fatigue, critical phase transformation temperatures and coefficient of thermal expansion,etc.) as well as regression equations for estimating the correlation between mechanic properties and the chemical composition. In addition, failure mechanism of ingot mold is also discussed.The results of this work show that service life of manufactured ingot mold has increased two fold as compared with gray iron, and confirm that RE-Mg ductile iron is material of superior quality for manufacturing mi-ddle and small-sized ingot mold.
