【Abstract】 A sustained release potassium chloride tablet are prepared from 30 formulations. A comparison between the sustained release tablet and the conventional tablet for their release rate, ulcerogenic effect and absorption rate were made. The result showed that the release rate of the sustained release tablet, either in vitro or in vivo was much slower than that of the conventional tablet; the ulcerogenie effect of the sustained release tablet on the duodenum of cats was milder. The absorption of potassium chloride was measured by urinary excretion in human after oral administrition, the conventional tablet reached the peak in 2 hrs but the sustained release tablet are steady from the begining to the end.更多还原
