【Abstract】 With a view to studying acupuncture effect onintestinal function in bacillary dysentery,34 casesof the patients with gurgling sound and rheographywere observed.The results may be summarized as follows:Acupuncture obviously inhibited gurgling soundof the patients.The difference after 15-30 minutes’treatment and before acupuncture was markedly evi-dent(P<0.01),showing that acupuncture couldinhibit intestinal hyperperistalsis of the bacillarydysentery patients.Acupuncture caused an increase of amplitude ofintestinal rheography.After being treated for 15minutes,the amplitude was raised by 20%(P<0.05),showing that acupuncture could dialatethe blood vessels and increase intestinal blood flow.The author holds that this regulatory functioninitiated by acupuncture plays an important role inthe treatment of acute baciliary dysentery.更多还原
