【Abstract】 In the present investigation, it has been proved by the LCBO MO method that the forbidden band widths Eg of binary semiconductors with characteristic indicated below are dependent only upon the bond parameters, irrespective of the form of covalent structures. The characteristic is that the two constituent atoms coordinate with each other alternately, forming a periodically connected net of covalent bonds. The conclusions obtained in this paper support many empirical rules for Eg values of binary semiconductors in term of bond parameters.更多还原
