【Abstract】 Kwei-Ling-Chi was a famous Chinese remedy and has been used for hundreds of years. This prescription was handed down from Sung Dynasty. During Ming and Ching dynasties this drug was stipulated to be the tonic of the Courts. As it was recorded in Chinese medical literature, Kwei-Ling-Chi could invigorate body constitution and improve mental functions. The immunostimulating effect of Kwei-Ling-Chi was observed in our experiment. Both nonspecific ( phagocytosis ) and specific ( production of antibody) immunities in mice were enhanced by the administration of Kwei-Ling-Chi. We supposed that Kwei-Ling-Chi might have extensive pharmacological actions and the regulation of immunity being one of these functions.更多还原
