【Abstract】 The occurrence and control of watercore of ’Delicious’ apples in Mt. Qin-ling region was studied during the years of 1975-1979. Recommeda-tions for the control of this disorder were suggested: ( 1 ) the application of nitrophoska compound fertilizers, ( 2 ) four sprays a year with 0.5% calcium nitrate during the period of three and five weeks after bloom and ten and eight weeks before harvest, ( 3 ) spray of 500 ppm B9 ( SADH ) three weeks after bloom or 1000 ppm B9 8-10 weeks before harvest and ( 4 ) harvesting appropriately on time earlier than the proper date accor-ding to its maturity.
