【Abstract】 The application of various VLE models to petroleum fractions was investigated.It is concluded that BWRS equation of state and Ж-П empirical correlation are hardly suitable to high pressure, high temperature petroleum fraction VLE predictions, Chao-Seader model has an application range quite restricted, while Grayson-Streed correlation has calculation accuracy not high enough. The authors propose certain modifications to the mixed-model type VLE correlation The checked computations verify that for petroleum fraction the modified model has a much broader application range than that of C-S correlation, a higher accuracy than that of G-S correlation.
