【Abstract】 Two new species of phytoseiid mites are described and illustrated in this paper. The type specimens are deposited in the Department of Biology, Fudan University, Shanghai.Phytoseius taianensis, sp. n. (fig. 1)This species resembles P. oirzaba De Leon, but it has the setae j1 serrate and 2 macrosetae on leg IV, while the latter species has jl smooth and 3 macrosetae on leg IV. The spermatheca of these two spp. are also different.Holotype ♀ and paratypes 2♀♀, Taian, Shandong Province, 20-VIII-1980, on an unknown plant.Phytoseius qianshanensis, sp. n. (fig. 2)The female of P. qianshanensis resembles that of P. canadensis Chant (1965), P. delicatus Chant (1965) and P. borealis Chant (1965), but it differs from the last three species by having three pairs of preanal setae, instead of one or two pairs, and by different lengths of the dorsal setae. This new species differs from P. corniger Wainstein (1959) by having dorsal setae j3, s4 and z4 much shorter than those of the latter.Holotype ♀ and paratypes 3 ♀♀, Qianshan, Liaoning Province, 13-VII-1980 (Coll.
