【Abstract】 Antiepilepsirinum is a new antiepileptic drug. Its chemical structure is 3-4 methylene dioxycinnamoyl piperidide, being a derivative of piperine. In our clinic, we had not encountered any untoward side reactions in a series of 270 cases treated with Antiepilepsirinum in the past 5 years.The therapeutic effects of antiepilepsirinum in the treatment of 270 cases of epilepsy were as follows: marked improvement was observed in 35.5%, the total rate of response was 83.3%. In the treatment of 243 old patients with intractable epilepsy, marked improvement was obtained in 30.9±2.96%, while treating 25 untreated patients newly referred with grand mal, marked improvement was observed in 76±8.54%. These results showed that antiepilepsirinum can be used for the first choice drug in grand mal threapy. It may be used as sole therapy or can be added to existing therapy when the patient is inadequately controlled and it is well tolerated by all ages when given in the recommended dosage and suitable for long-term treatment.更多还原
