【Abstract】 This paper deals with 4 species of the Chinese gall-nut aphids on Rhus po-taninii Maxim collected frnm China. Among them 3 species are described as new to science.1) Kaburagia rhusicola Takagi2) Kaburagia ovatirhusicola Xiang, sp. n.3) Meitanaphis microgallis Xiang, sp. n.4) Floraphis choui Xiang, sp. n. Kaburagia rhusicola TakagiHost plant: Rhus potaninii Maxim, galls produced on leaflets. Secondary host: Erythrodotium teptothallum (C.Muii.) Nog. The life history: -Host plant Spring Summer Autumn Winter SpringRhus potaninii teptothallumPS: winged viviparous female in spring. P: fundatrix. P1-(P2-P3-): fundatrigenia. Pn: winged viviparous female in summer. Py: summer and winter point for the hibernating nymph. Distribution. Shaanxi (Qinling and Bashan Mountain Ranges in the south).Kaburagia ovatirhnsicola Xiang, sp. n.Summer migrant (winged viviparous female). Closely allied to Kaburagia ovogallis ( Tsai et Tang ) , but differs from it in the following points:(1) Antennae: 3rd to the 6th joints each with very large oval sensoria occupying nearly one half or more of its outer surface, the 6th cylindrical, long, the 5th more than 4/5 of the 6th in length.(2) Fore wings narrow, stigma of fore wing narrow and long spindle shaped, base of Rs, Cu and A veins thick and strong, base of Rs curved, M is straight.(3) Hind margin of the hind wing nearly straight, middle of Cu curved, bases of Cu and A set close, with the ends widely separate.(4) Galls obovate, green, outer surface with prominent net-like veins. Syntype: 21 alatc viviparous females in summer, July 18, 1977, Shaanxi(Wudumen, Chenggu), by Xiang He;32 apterous viviparous females and nymphs. July 2, 1967, Shaanxi (Ankang), by Wang Qiansheng.Host plant: Rhus potaninii Maxim, galls produced on leaflets. Meitanaphis microgallis Xiang, sp. n.Closely allied to Meitanaphis elongallis Tsai & Tang, but differs from it in the following points.Winged viviparous female in autumn: Forewings broad and short, stigma thick and strong, reaching apex, end of Rs nearly reaching apex with the middle part curved, M long and curved, base of Cu and A more widely separated,end of hind femur large.Galls small, papilliform, green, densely villous on outer surface. Syntype: 19 alate viviparous females in autumn; Oct. 5, 1975, Shaanxi (Wudumen,Chenggu) by Xiang He; 83 apterous viviparous females and nymphs, July 18, 1973, Shaanxi (Wudumen, Chenggu) by Xiang He.Host plant: Rhus potaninii Maxim, galls produced on leaflets. Floraphis choui Xiang, sp. n.Closely allied to Floraphis meitanensis Tsai & Tang, but differs from it in the following points.Winged viviparous female in autumn: 3rd antennal segment 1.6 times longer than 4th,stigma of fore wings narrow and long, base of Rs more curvate,end of M close to Rs, sometimes located at 1/3 of length, bases of Cu and A more widely separate.Tibia of the hind leg with long dense setae.Gall branched with every branch obconical, apex bigger and rotundate, There are sometimes dark red spots on the exposed surface, but they are not united.Syntype: 36 alate viviparous females in autumn: Oct. 8, 1973, Shaanxi (Beiba, Nanzheng), by Xiang He. 2 galls (with apterous viviparous females): August 8, 1975, Shaanxi (Wudumen, Chenggu), by Xiang He.Host plant: Rhus potaninii Maxim. Gall produced on leaflets.
