【Abstract】 For the past 3 years,the authors have been using the pulsed ultrasonic flow detector for diagnosis of various liver diseases,such as infec- tious hepatitis,liver abscess,schistosomiasis,cir- rhosis and carcinoma,and the results have been eorrelated with clinical or pathological findings. A total of 537 cases (including 202 convales- cent cases)of infectious hepatitis were studied; correct diagnoses with ultrasonic examinatons were obtained in 78 (85.7%) of 91 cases of acute hepatitis with jaundice;121 (81.7%) of 148 cases of acute non-icteric hepatitis;3 of 5 cases of chr- onic hepatitis with jaundice and 67 (73.6%) of 91 cases of chronic non-icteric hepatitis.In cases of toxic hepatitis,acute schistosomiasis,leptospiro- sis,diabetes mellitus,malaria and leukemia etc, the echograms might simulate those of infectious hepatitis.Therefore differential diagnosis can only be made with reference to the clinical data. 32(93.2%) out of 34 cases of liver abscess were accurately diagnosed by ultrasonic examination, the other 2 cases were misinterpretated.While 4 cases of other liver diseases (one case each of congenital cyst,subphrenic abscess,carcinoma and portal cirrhosis) were mistaken for liver abscess.更多还原
