【Abstract】 This report deals with copepods collected from the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region during 1958-1963 and the Ning-Hsia Moslem Autonomous Region in 1964. After a faunistic study of the materials obtained, 30 species of copepods have been identified. By adding to our list the 3 species, namely, Boeckella orientalis Sars, Neodiap-tomus kandeli (Brehm) and Thermocyclops dybowski (Lande), which have previously been reported from the eastern part of Inner Mongolia, but not represented in our collection, it will make a total of 33 species (Tab. 2). Of these, 19 are of Cyclopidae, 9 of Diaptomidae, 2 of Centropagidae and one each of Pseudodiaptomidae, Cantho-camptidae and Cletodidae, including a new species, Attheyella (Mrazekiella) mongoliana and 4 new records to China, namely, Metadiaptomus asiaticus (Uljanin), Arctodiap-tomus wierzejskii (Richard), Mixodiaptomus incrassatus (Poppe) and Metacyclops minu-tus (Claus). Besides giving brief notes on these 4 species and a diagnosis of the new species, the paper includes a discussion of the characteristics of the fauna under investigation.Diagnosis of Attheyella (Mrazekiella) mongoliana, sp. nov.(Text figs. 12-20)Material examined: 1 ovig. , holotype (Cat. No. IM630.045), in a pond with muddy water, Arpakar, Inner Mongolia, Aug. 17, 1963, water temp. 18℃, pH value 8.4, chlorinity 235.7 mg/1.Body length 0.85 mm. Body spindle-shaped. Rostrum produced forwards. Genital segment together with the two following abdominal segments all spinulose along the posterior border. Anal segment with a pair of protuberances on dorsum and the anal plate spinulose along the free border. Caudal rami short. Caudal setae as shown in fig. 12. Antennule 8-segmented (fig. 13). Antenna 3-segmented, the 2nd segment with a single-segmented exopod, bearing 3 setae; the 3rd segment with 5 claw-like setae of unequal lengths at the distal end (fig. 14). In P. 1, exopod and endopod all 3-segmented, endopod 1 reaching distal end of exopod 3. In P. 2-4, exopods all 3-segmented, but endopods all 2-scgmented (figs. 16-19). The number of spines and setae on both the exopods and endopods of P. 1-4 is as shown in Tab. 1. P. 5 2-segmented, basal segment short and broad, its distal border with a triangular lobe at the middle and 6 plumose setae of different lengths on the medial side, from outside inwards, the 3rd one the longest, the distal segment elongated, about 2.2 times as long as broad, bearing 2 stout spines of unequal lengths on the distal portion of the lateral border and a plumose seta at the inner distal angle and another 2 stout spines of unequal lengths at the distal end, the inner one about 2.5 times as long as the outer and about 1.6 times as long as the inner distal plumose seta (fig. 20).Comparison: This new species closely resembles Attheyela (Mrazekiella) dogieli (Rylov, 1923, pp. 84-88, Pl. 3 figs. 30-37), but differs from the latter chiefly by the characteristics as shown in the following table:
