浙江蛇类的食性分析

【摘要】 <正> 从1955年—1958年及1962年—1964年,在进行浙江蛇类调查的工作中进行了部分标本的剖胃工作,检查了它们的食性。先后共剖过1,440条标本,计42个蛇种,其中982条是空胃,458条隶属于34种的标本胃中有食物。结合前人的科学资料,把浙江省现有的53种蛇类的食性总结成本文,列成表1。又在近一二年来对蛇类的野外生态观察及室内饲养繁殖工作中,见到蛇类捕食的一些情况,一并在文中叙述。

【Abstract】 1. Based on field observations and analyses of stomach contents, the feeding habits of 53 species of snakes from Chekiang may be summarized in table 1.2. A considerable number of snakes show a marked preference for particular kinds of prey. The following table shows food preferences of the snakes under investigation.3. The following feeding habits are rarely reported by previous authors: Agkistrodon acutus feeding on Rana spinosa, Bufo bufo gargarizans and Takydromusseptentrionalis;Agkistrodon halys on Naja naja atra and spiders; Hemibungarus kelloggi on Natrix annular is; Holarchus formosanus on lizards; Trimeresurus mucrosquamatus on frogs; Natrix tigrina lateralis on loaches; Natrix stolata and Elaphe rufodorsata on snails; Zaocys dhumnades on earthworms.4. The feeding habits of snakes are closely related with their habitats and the structure of their mouths.5. All snakes arc carnivorous. Generally, they feed on living animals, but are occasionally necrophagous or zoosaprophagus.6. Most snakes have no marked economic value. Species of Dinodon, Ptyas, Elaphe, Bungarus, Naja, Agkistrodon and Trimeresurus consume large numbers of rodents and are, therefore, beneficial to agriculture. Unfortunately, species of the last four genera are poisonous, thus offsetting the good they do. Species of Typhlops and Eurypholis feeding on insects, species of Matrix and Amblycephalus on slugs and snails are also beneficial. On the contrary, many species feeding on frogs, toads and fishes bring about harmful effects to agriculture and fisheries.
