【Abstract】 By making an analysis of the newly-constructed English neologisms from the perspective of cognition,this paper aims at revealing their construction motivations,that is,the construction of English neologisms is dominated by the cognitive subject,which is closely related to human thinking of metaphor,metonymy,analogy and conceptual combination. Therefore,the construction of neologisms not only reflects the creativity of human thinking,but also embodies the initiative and creativity of human’s perceiving the world.更多还原
