Various methods applied in identification of fruit tree germplasm were discussed in the paper.Applications and restrictions of the traditional morphological,palynological cytological and proteing elelectrophoresis methods were summarized.Moreover characteristics and applications of the newly developed DNA fingerprinting methods in this field such as RFLP RAPD,VNTR,SSR and AFLP were also reviewed.
