L-phenylalanine is indispensable to human being,which can be synthesized only by plant or microorganism.L-phenylalanine has been used widely in pharmacy industry,food industry and chemical industry.Now the requirement each year of L-phenylalanine is increasing at the rate 10~15%.The application and manufacture methods of L-phenylalanine are summarized.The advantage and disadvantage of different methods are also discussed.
