The effects of sulphur on grain starch and its compositions of wheat were studied under the different amount of nitrogen conditions.Under the certain condition of nitrogen application,the demands for sulphur were different to obtain the highest content of grain starch in all cultivars.The ratio of the amylose to amylopectin could be reduced and the application of sulphur under the condition of urea 60 kg/hm2 or 128 kg/hm2 could improve the quality of grain starch composition.
