An indirect atomic absorption spectroscopic method (AAS) was proposed for the determination of leucogen in pharmaceutical preparations. The method is based on the reaction of cysteine produced by hydrolytic cleavage of leucogen with Cu2+ in alkaline medium, the amount of leucogen can be determined by measuring the amount of Cu2+ in the supernatant solution with AAS.
