The authors summarized the principles and methods of morphology, physics and chemistry, biochemistry and DNA molecular marker identification of seed purity, and commented on these ways. The importance and feasibility were emphasized of protein, isozyme electrophoresis methods and RAPD molecular marker etc. on biochemistry level and gene level. The new direction was pointed out for strengthening the work of the seed identification.
