The bentonites from Jiutai, Xiaolihe,Jingyuetan,and Lushuihe in Jilin Province have been tested. On the basis of comparison of the category, montmorillonite content, physical-chemical properties and experiment of the soaked components out of bentonites, we found that for the use of medical excipient, the white bentonite of Jingyuetan has the best quality, the quality of light yellow bentonite from Xiaolihe ranks the second.
