The variaion pattern of solidification of furan resin sand with the addition of solidifying agents is inquired experimentally and the relationship of proper additive amount of solidifying agents to the temperatures of sand and environment. thus, the proper additive amount of solidifying agents can be determined by means of measuring the temperatures of the sand and the environment, so that the final strength of resin sand required by various cast steel can be obtained.
