This paper selected excellent individuals from excellent provinces and families of Casuarina equisetifolies Forst , and measured their genetic characters. Then 5 excellent families or clones at the age of 6 year old were selected from 24 families selected in the first stage. They had the mean genetic gain of 56 4% in H, 66 15% in D, and 163 98% in V as compared with CK, which meant that the effect of selection was significant.
