UV－ curable waterborne coating as a kind of environment－ friendly and rapidly cured coating is overviewed. Its advantages＆ disadvantages, development status, classification, basic properties of representative resins used as binders, applicable photoinitiators and technological difficulties at present are stated. The authors' relevant investigation in this field is also briefly introduced.
