Magnetic fluid is a special kind of nanostrctured magnetic material which has unique and marvelous properties and vast practical applications. In the present work, a novel kind of magnetic fluid has been prepared and used for sealing machine oil. The influence of the geometry of sealing stages, sorts of magnets and the number of stages on the capacity of sealing oil is also discussed.
