The technique of RAPD has been applied in many disciplines and fileds,duing to such advantages as quickness,simplicity and effectiveness.Applications of RAPD in plant genetics and breeding are summarized in this paper.They are mainly as follows:studies of genetic diversity,RAPD\|marker\|based assistant breeding,identification of cultivars or hybrids,gene location,and construction of genetic linkage maps.\;
